Description

To complement the orange of this fall bloom, I placed this chrysanthemum on a print of my photo of a blue stained wood.
Technique: Shot with toy setting, backlit filter added. Wow, it's positively glowing!!!
Floral facts: Chrysanthemum flowers, also called mums or chrysanths, are in the Asteraceae family. They have multiple narrow petals and are native to Asia and northeastern Europe. Most species originate from East Asia; they are particularly known, bred and loved in China. There are about 40 valid species plus countless colorful horticultural varieties and cultivars.
