Description

Icelandic geography includes the rift or canyon between the North American tectonic plate and the Eurasian plate. Walking down into it doesn't sound smart, but it was definitely dramatic and beautiful. The jagged rocks on the sides of the gorge were by accented by fall colors and lichens.
