In South Africa, a unique penguin colony exists in this special beach only. Boulders Beach is also commonly known as Boulders Bay. Boulders Beach is situated near Simon's Town in False Bay between Fish Hoek and Cape Point. It is a popular tourist stop because of a colony of African Penguins which settled there in 1982. (The day the march of the penguins ended? I don't know!)
It was a great day for these flightless marine birds to spend sunning themselves on the rocks and boulders. For some reason the young chicks stayed down on the sand by the waters' edge.
