This is a Phalaenopsis, Phal, or moth orchid, which prefers indirect sunlight. Orchidaceae are extremely diverse: there are twice as many orchid species as bird species, and about four times as many as mammal species. The most highly coveted of ornamental plants, the delicate, exotic and graceful orchid represents love, luxury, beauty and strength. In ancient Greece, orchids were associated with virility.

Oh, even better with the dark background and the shaded orchid behind. Love this composition. If I had a sunroom, I'd put a large version of this and use accent pillows to repeat the color.
