Description
Uneven old hand-hewn wooden timbers frame this traditional old vintage French window in Normandy. Many of the half-timbered style of homes are still in use in this area of France. Red geraniums in a rectangular flowerpot decorate the home with a bright pop of color. The wonderful thing about window boxes is that the flowers can be watered from inside, and seen from inside AND from the street. This crimson color is ideal to add a foreign accent to a home or office wall.

Love the contrasts between the rough wood, the lace trimmed curtains, and the bright red flowers. Congratulations on your feature in The 200 Club.

Window boxes are wonderful inventions, all but lost these days in the US. Great that people in other parts of the world are still enjoying them.
Barbie Corbett-Newmin replied:
Years ago I had 2 wooden boxes with geraniums on my balcony when I lived in California, but the termites ate them!
