Description
This is a ceiling? Yes, a dome lined with a giant disc made of copper wire. The Church of the Rock or Temppeliaukio Church is a Lutheran church in the Töölö neighborhood of Helsinki. Designed by architect brothers Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen, it opened in 1969. Built directly into solid granite rock, it is topped by this copper wire lined dome. It almost looks like a wood slice with rings in a photo.
