My Little Darling. This lovely pink hibiscus blossom won the ribbon for Best Miniature double at a hibiscus show by the Harry Goulding Chapter of the American Hibiscus Society of Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte, Florida, in May 2018. A cutout filter was applied.
Tropical Hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis 'Herm Geller'). Hibiscus are also called Chinese Hibiscus, Japanese Lantern, Rose of Sharon. They, are large shrubs or small trees that produce large, colorful, five-petaled flowers over a long season. Tea from hibiscus flowers is enjoyed around the world and is served both hot and cold. The beverage is known as bissap in West Africa, flor de Jamaica or just Jamaica in Mexico, agua de Jamaica, roselle, sorrel, gongura, etc.
