Description
Grand canyons are found in Utah, too! This beautiful lone pine stands tall, green and proud, surrounded by fairy chimneys or hoodoos on the Navajo Loop Trail in Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah. This is one of the best hiking trails for all ages in western America. The colorful red rock canyons and hoodoos are of Claron limestone from the Paleocene or Eocene age and are most abundant in the northern section of Bryce Canyon National Park. Hoodoos are irregular or jagged pillars of rock that protrude from the bottom of arid basins and "broken" lands, still standing after years of erosion.
