Description
It's wonderful to encounter a supply of sparkling water when far from a town hiking in the Italian countryside. This lovely ancient fountain and its basin are in Lazio, north of Rome, Italy. The water from the Fontana di Pisciarello was delicious and thirst-quenching on a hot day in spite of the moss. I like the way the fountain, flow and splash combine to form the shape of a wine glass.
