Description
The Louis Bank of Commerce building in San Diego's Gaslamp quarter is still impressive, well-maintained and attractive. San Diego, California boomed in the 1800s and attracted prostitutes and gamblers, including Wyatt Earp, who had three gambling halls. This building must have been built at the end of an era, because1888 marked the last year of San Diego's 1880s real estate boom. The Gaslamp Quarter is again a premier shopping, dining and entertainment district, with 200+ restaurants, bars, lounges and clubs.
I love the way the doors and windows are detailed and accented with paint colors, columns, stone facades, etc..
