Description
Clydesdales originated on the banks of the River Clyde in Scotland after breeders imported Flemish stallions. Because of their size and strength they are suited for pulling heavy loads. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, thousands of Clydesdales were widely exported, including to Australia and New Zealand; they became known as "the breed that built Australia". Stars of many popular beer commrcials, in the USA they are best known as the team that pulls Budweiser by Anhueser-Busch.

Love this closeup of such a magnificent creature. The shimmer of the healthy coat, the alert posture of those ears and that proud head, all so beautifully captured through your lens. Off to Pay It Forward in ABC group with this!
