Description
These healthy heads of cabbage are unfurling their leaves in the sunny cabbage patch of a Florida kitchen garden. Cabbage is a versatile vegetable, good for fresh, cooked or preserved nourishment and roughage, as well as a colorful and decorative food plant, sometimes used purely ornamentally!
There are several groups of cultivars of Brassica oleracea, a leafy green or purple biennial.
The French like to associate their loved ones with food and call them 'mon petit chou' which is like ' my little sweetheart'.
